howdy folks =)
i loved the comments about the cowboy hats so today, i’m treating y’all to a picture of me being as alluring as possible in cowgear. hey, it was so boring waiting for transit sometimes so we just started taking pictures. whatdaya think – do i look alluring enough to pick up a cowboy? (the answer, apparently, is no.)

on saturday, we donned our cowboy hats and i learned a valuable lesson : i can pull off wearing a cowboy hat! you see, hats usually make me writhingly uncomfortable and consequently self-conscious. not so in a cowboy hat. so if i can wear one, anyone else can and it’s the great equalizer.

beginning from the beginning….
it takes under 90 minutes to fly across the mountain range that is the rockies from vancouver to calgary and before we knew it, seemingly 20 minutes after take-off, we were there….
transiting to the hotel was pretty smooth so i won’t bore you with details. because rooms were in short supply by the time i was inquiring, we had to get a suite with an “in-suite jacuzzi,” a king-size bed, and a pull-out queen. upon checking out that sofa, we just decided to share the …

(i got back home at 11:30 p.m. after an 18-hour day that included a 20-kilometer run and “backpacking” through a foreign city. while i wrote this up on the flight home, don’t expect it to be the most coherent and i’ll try to look out for typos but no promises….)
