About
Hello and welcome to my website.
It really is a delight to have my own space after being around the Internet for so long. How long? I got my freenet account in Halifax some time in 1994 (username: ai922) and built adorable little webpages of links until 2002 when I started blogging. From 2003 until this year, I have been with Blogger.com. Before my birthday last year, I made a list of goals and amongst them was moving to my own site. Better late than never… here it is!
It is quickly apparent around this site that I live and work in Vancouver, BC, Canada. However, I’m a Halifax-born East Coast-bred girl – although I have been here for nearly five years, I consider myself a transplant, not naturalized to the west coast. To me, that presents many opportunities to explore or just bemuse the cultural differences within one vast country.
I’m still building this site with more jazz (read: icons) so I will list here the other connections/presence I have -
wynlok on Flickr: I even have a premium account, I enjoy taking pictures so much.
whoiswyn on Twitter: Don’t look to find out what I had for lunch, but as the medium encourages you, you can reveal how you are currently occupied.
my webby commonplace book on Tumblr: This is turning out to be where I amass running and/or motivational quotes and the odd fascinating photograph.
Feedburner Feed nicely integrates my site feed with my Flickr feed. I really wanted it to integrate Twitter… but it doesn’t.
My FriendFeed: FriendFeed is so fun and *friendly* and lets me integrate more feeds than Feedburner does. From FF, you can follow this blog, Flickr, Google Reader Shared Items, my LibraryThing, Tumblr microblog, and Twitter. I’m not crazy active so it won’t flood you to subscribe to this one.
